This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Vozi collects, why, and your rights over it. We act as the data controller for the platform. We aim to collect only what we need to run a safe marketplace.

Data we collect

• Account data: your name, email, password (stored only as a salted hash), preferred language and role.
• Trip data: requests you post, offers, bookings, cancellations and reviews.
• Driver verification data: licence, vehicle registration, insurance and ID documents, plus vehicle details, uploaded by drivers for our team to verify.
• Technical data: basic logs needed for security and to operate the service.

How we use it

• To operate the marketplace: matching passengers with drivers, showing offers and managing bookings.
• To verify drivers before they go live, keeping the platform trustworthy.
• To provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
• To process optional paid services via our payment provider (see below).

Privacy by design: driver photo & plate

To protect drivers and to keep the choice of driver unbiased, a driver’s photo and vehicle plate number are not shown while you are browsing or comparing offers. They are revealed to the passenger only after a booking is confirmed, so you can verify the car at pickup.

Document storage

Verification documents are stored in a private object store and are never publicly accessible. They can be viewed only by our verification team and the owning driver, through short-lived, signed links. We store document references, not public URLs.

Sharing

• With the other party to a booking, the minimum needed to complete the trip (e.g. name, and after booking the vehicle plate).
• With service providers who help us run Vozi (hosting, database, object storage).
• With our payment Merchant of Record, Paddle, for optional paid services; Paddle processes payment data under its own privacy notice.
• Where required by law.

Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR where relevant), you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, or to ask a privacy question, contact privacy@vozi.dev.
